Bollywood banquet is bliss

Generous diners helped raise more than £1,000 for a baby charity.

A total of £1,694 was raised for charity Bliss at a special Bollywood dinner and dance hosted by Perfectmoments4U in Newlight Banqueting Suite, Wembley, London.

More than 300 people attended the event to help babies born too soon, too small and too sick.

Priti Sevani, Jay Sevani, Sima Patel, Vinod Patel, Paresh Pindoria & Munisha Pindoria (The Perfectmoments4U team) chose Bliss as a charity after discovering that there was a lack of awareness within the Asian community of the help and support services it provides for sick babies and families.

The event included a raffle prize draw and a special auction of a T-shirt signed by Manchester United player Ronaldo.

Robbin Legge, community events officer for Bliss, said "This was a very wonderful and enjoyable evening out.

"Thanks goes to all that helped to make it happen the money raised will fund three Parent Support Groups for a whole year and help us to also produce some information booklets"
