Police hunt moped attacker
Two young children watched in horror as their mother was beaten over the head by a masked attacker - in broad daylight.
The sickening incident took place in Barn Way, Wembley, on August 30, leaving the injured 34-year-old woman in hospital.
Eyewitnesses said a moped rider drove up to her as she put her youngsters in her car, got off his bike and assaulted her with a blunt instrument, sending her crashing to the ground.
It is believed she may have been hit with an axe, but the police have not confirmed this.
The attack took place at 10.33am and an investigation has now been lunched to catch the criminal.
Police say the suspect was wearing a green overall and a multi -coloured helmet with a balaclava underneath.
He was riding a dark or black moped.
