Youth hospitalised in lorry smash

A teenager is being treated for head injuries after he was hit by a lorry in Wembley.

The 14-year-old was airlifted to hospital after the accident in Salmon Street at 7.45am.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and have cordoned off the road between The Paddocks and Deanscroft Avenue.

The boy's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
