Posted by Tara Brady on Nov 12, 09 10:11 AM in Crime

A MAN who advertised a motorbike for sale was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after he was shot in the leg by an alleged buyer.
The 27-year-old advertised his Yamaha R6 in a bike magazine and was visited by a man at his home in Sunnymead Road, Kingsbury, claiming he was interested in buying the bike at 7.25pm on Monday (Nov 9).
Twenty minutes later he produced a gun and told the victim to get back. As the victim moved closer to the bike he was shot in the leg. The armed robber then made off on the bike.
He is described as a black man, between 25 and 30-years-old, 5ft 11in tall and was wearing a red and black crash helmet, black jacket, blue jeans and black trainers.
Detective Sergeant Les Newman, from the priority crime unit, said: "We are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information to contact us.
If you are buying or selling goods on the internet or in magazines please remain vigilant and take necessary steps to secure your safety."
Anyone with information should call the Priority Crime Unit at Wembley Police Station on 020 8733 3249 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
