Neasden Temple chosen as Brent's landmark for 2012 London Olympic pin badge
NEASDEN Temple has been voted to be featured in a celebratory set of 'London Landmark' 2012 Olympics pin badges.
Residents from across the capital participated in a web vote for which building they would like to represent their borough on the brooches.
The poll took place in September and the results were announced in the run up to the 1,000 days to go milestone on Saturday October 31.
A spokesman for BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir said: "We are delighted that we can be a part of this great event for all of London, and look forward to welcoming athletes and visitors to our wonderful city."
Neasden Temple beat off competition from the Grand Union Canal, which runs through the borough, although strangely Wembley Stadium did not make Brent Council's shortlist.
In Harrow, St Mary's Church won ahead of Headstone Manor, Harrow School and Harrow Arts Centre.
