A hard-working charity organisation has been thanked for its sterling fundraising work.
Kingsbury Lions Club collected thousands of pounds for good causes last year and is hoping to have a successful 2008.

Treasurer Paresh Kotecha, said: "We don't believe in just handing over cash to good causes and would rather give them something they benefit from."

A tribute night is to be held for two of Wembley's most famous late residents.
The evening will be staged at the Ace Cafe, Wembley on Friday, June 20, in honour of best friends Screaming Lord Sutch and Carlo Little.
David Sutch was found hanged at his home in Harrow in June 1999 and Carlo died after suffering from lung cancer in 2005, in the North East where he had retired to with his wife Iris.
Dave and Carlo had been friends since 1960 when they started "Screaming Lord Sutch and The Savages" together.
The Savages had in it's time such members as Guitarist Richie Blackmore, and the actor Paul Nicholas.
At a gig at Wembley Town Hall Carlo was approached by a very young Keith Moon who asked if Carlo would teach him how to play the drums.
Carlo obliged and Moon paid him 10 shillings per lesson.
Carlo also gigged with the Rolling Stones in 1962 and was asked by founder member Brian Jones to join the band as their regular drummer, but Carlo turned him down.
At the time Carlo was a professional drummer and the Stones were just starting out. he didn't think they would go anywhere, how wrong he was.
This Friday's tribute will see 5 bands on stage including Deep Purple's Nick Simper, and special guests.
Doors open at 8pm entrance is £7 and all proceeds will be donated to charity.
